Phrasee’s phavorite marketing tweets of the month: September 2019
by Stu Elmes
Ready or not, Autumn is upon us.
It’s been a great summer for us here at Phrasee. We’ve gained awesome new customers, grown our awesome team, and networked with marketing’s awesomest pholks during yet another awesome conference season.
And, as the last precious days of summer begin to fade, there’s even more awesomeness to look forward to. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas are just around the corner, and we humble members of the Phrasee squad have some very exciting (and awesome) things in the works.
In the meantime, there’s always Twitter, where the best and brightest marketers continue to keep us all abreast of the latest and greatest developments that the marketing game has to offer.
Let’s see how we did this month…
We bid farewell in style to those moving on…
And put aside our differences for the greater good…
We offered the tips that our fellows needed…
5 key tips for #EmailMarketing
1. Plan (purpose, value prop, CTA, message, metrics)
2. Nurture journey @MonopolyUK
3. Use tech(@phrasee @movableink)
4. Balance give & take
5. Make an effort with content (relevant/ #seriousfun)@theidm @tfm_event #TFM19 #staycurious #brand pic.twitter.com/YuI4Td99fI

We called out injustice…
Bad UX patterns, newsletter edition:
– Clicking Unsubscribe should always do it immediately
– Don’t ask for the email again
– Don’t make the follow-up form look like you haven’t unsubscribed (Mailchimp)
– Definitely none of this “Please respond to this email with subject” thing

But most of all, we remembered to keep things simple…
Because in this business, things can get really complicated, really fast, if you let them…
